overestimating ourselves in our insignificance
thinking that our life is everything in its brevity
our existence is a self-made wall of false defiance
fight for our fame through aquisition and ethnicity
all that i am, what does it mean?
can you assure me of my dignity?
my mind can not comprehend that i really belong
dreaming of the outer universe
we're not aware of our mind
we're a young phenomenon that expands in self-esteem
boasting ourselves in all achievements until they're out of sight
in the end there will be no one left to redeem
all our yearnings are enough to justify ourselves to the world
what we leave testifies to our pride in our deep surplus
we're not aware that all what's left will be toxical and cold
what do we think, who frees our kind from what extinguishes us
Powerful, plaintive expression of the fathomless sorrow of our suffering cetaceans and their depthless home, together with the indescribable loveliness of their distant blue-black realm. I feel as much interstellar space here as I do deep ocean, equally crushing and buoying. Dave Aftandilian
Absolutely Bone-Chilling. A bleak and meditative experience. Waves of crushing reverb and sustain pierced by soaring synthesizer and guitar screams. A prolonged howl into the darkness. The Howling Void showcases a punishing yet beautiful display of all of Funeral Dooms defining aspects. An absolute tar pit of despair. 10/10 Yawth
The Portland power duo cast a wide and winning net on their debut LP, with elements of goth rock, heavy metal, Americana, and more. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 9, 2022
Yes, similiar to Mournful Congregation but more staightforward. Heavy just about all the time. Much less fluff than MC. Better growls, too. The production lends the music a majestic feel. The only thing I don't like are the rare spoken word bits. If the next release has more of those I'll address them as Mopey Wanderer (... I mean it). You can trust Germans to put the fun in funeral doom. tr_🇺🇦
