last night i flew so high, it almost felt so true
my mind couldn't deny my soul longs for you
i'm only set free when i sink into my thoughts
or am i living just a dream?
nothing's real
unfulfilled
trapped in myself
couldn't leave
shadows of the past, they won't give me some rest
i'm projecting my wishes to a parallel universe,
leading me to an alternative course
Powerful, plaintive expression of the fathomless sorrow of our suffering cetaceans and their depthless home, together with the indescribable loveliness of their distant blue-black realm. I feel as much interstellar space here as I do deep ocean, equally crushing and buoying. Dave Aftandilian
Absolutely Bone-Chilling. A bleak and meditative experience. Waves of crushing reverb and sustain pierced by soaring synthesizer and guitar screams. A prolonged howl into the darkness. The Howling Void showcases a punishing yet beautiful display of all of Funeral Dooms defining aspects. An absolute tar pit of despair. 10/10 Yawth
The Portland power duo cast a wide and winning net on their debut LP, with elements of goth rock, heavy metal, Americana, and more. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 9, 2022
Yes, similiar to Mournful Congregation but more staightforward. Heavy just about all the time. Much less fluff than MC. Better growls, too. The production lends the music a majestic feel. The only thing I don't like are the rare spoken word bits. If the next release has more of those I'll address them as Mopey Wanderer (... I mean it). You can trust Germans to put the fun in funeral doom. tr_🇺🇦
